Author Guidelines

1. General Requirements

  • Originality: Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere. Any form of plagiarism or redundant publication is strictly prohibited.

  • Scope: Manuscripts should address topics within social sciences and humanities, including but not limited to sociology, psychology, anthropology, political science, law, linguistics, education, development studies, and related interdisciplinary research.

  • Language: All submissions should be written in clear, professional English.

  • File Format: Accepted formats are MS Word (.doc/.docx) and PDF.

2. Manuscript Structure and Preparation

Title Page

  • Provide a concise, descriptive title (maximum 15 words).

  • Include full names of all authors, institutional affiliations, country, and valid email addresses.

  • Clearly identify the corresponding author with complete contact information.

Abstract and Keywords

  • Structured abstract (maximum 250 words) summarizing objectives, methodology, key findings, and significance.

  • 4–8 relevant keywords, separated by commas.

Main Text Sections

Structure the manuscript using standard academic sections:

  1. Introduction: State research background, objectives, significant literature context, and clearly identify research gaps or questions.

  2. Literature Review: Summarize relevant theories and past studies, highlighting advances and gaps in the field.

  3. Materials and Methods: Clearly describe research design, data sources, sampling, procedures, and analytical methods to ensure replicability.

  4. Results: Present findings in logical sequence, supported by tables/figures as appropriate. Avoid interpretation in this section.

  5. Discussion: Analyze results, interpret their implications, relate findings to existing literature, and acknowledge study limitations.

  6. Conclusion: Summarize the study’s key contributions and suggest future research directions or policy/practice implications.

  7. Acknowledgments: Recognize funding, institutional support, or individual contributions (if applicable).

  8. References: Use APA, Harvard, or MLA style consistently. Ensure at least 80% of citations are from reputable journal articles and that references are recent (preferably within the last five years) where possible.

  • Tables/Figures: Number sequentially, embed within text after first mention. Add clear captions/titles (10–12 pt font). Submit high-quality separate files if required.

  • Word Limit: Suggested length is 4,000–10,000 words (including references, tables, and figures).

3. Ethical Compliance

  • Plagiarism: All submissions are screened for plagiarism, with a maximum similarity threshold of 15%. Manuscripts exceeding this may be rejected or returned for revision.

  • Conflict of Interest: Authors must declare any actual or potential conflicts of interest. If none, explicitly state: “The authors declare that they have no conflict of interest.”

  • Funding Statement: Disclose all funding sources, grant numbers, and role of funders. If there is no funding, state: “No funding was received for this research.”

  • Research Ethics: Human/animal studies must include statements on ethical approval and consent.

4. Authorship and Contributions

  • Only those who have significantly contributed to the conception, design, data collection, or analysis and manuscript drafting should be listed as authors.

  • Provide an Author Contribution Statement detailing each author’s role.

  • Obtain written consent for publication from all co-authors.

5. Submission Procedure

  • Submit manuscripts and supporting documents via the JSSHRS online portal or by email to: editor@ep-journals.org

  • Include a cover letter describing the manuscript’s originality, relevance, and confirmation that the work is not under review elsewhere.

  • Authors may suggest 3–5 potential peer reviewers with expertise in the manuscript’s topic.

6. Peer Review and Publication

  • All submissions undergo initial editorial screening for scope, originality, and compliance.

  • Eligible manuscripts proceed to double-blind peer review by at least two subject experts.

  • Decisions (accept, minor/major revision, reject) are based on reviewer feedback and editorial assessment.

7. Final Submission Checklist

  •  Original, plagiarism-free manuscript.

  •  Complete author information and affiliations.

  •  Structured abstract and 4–8 keywords included.

  •  Tables, figures, and supplementary material formatted correctly.

  •  Funding, conflict of interest, and ethics statements included.

  •  Author contributions specified and all required declarations made.

 

Non-compliant or incomplete submissions may be delayed or returned for correction.
