Proposal and Submission Process

For Guest Editors

  • Identify a compelling and relevant theme aligned with JSSHRS’s scope and mission.

  • Prepare a detailed proposal including:

    • Title and description of the Special Issue theme and objectives.

    • Rationale and significance of the topic.

    • Profiles and roles of Guest Editors.

    • Proposed timeline for the call for papers, submission deadlines, review process, and publication schedule.

  • Submit the proposal to the JSSHRS editorial office for evaluation and approval.

For Authors

  • When submitting to a Special Issue, clearly indicate the Special Issue theme in your cover letter and manuscript metadata.

  • All manuscripts will undergo the same rigorous double-blind peer review as regular submissions to uphold scholarly standards.

  • Follow the standard author guidelines regarding manuscript preparation, formatting, and ethical compliance.

Publication Fees and Discounts

  • Articles accepted for publication in Special Issues are subject to the same Article Processing Charge (APC) of USD 30 as regular submissions.

  • Periodic discounts or waivers may be available for Special Issues; please consult the journal website or editorial office for the latest information.
