To sustain open access publishing, JSSHRS charges a modest Article Processing Charge (APC) of USD 30 per accepted article.

There are no fees for manuscript submission or peer review.

The APC covers editorial management, rigorous peer review coordination, professional production, digital hosting, archiving, indexing, and dissemination services.

Payment of APC is requested only after acceptance of the manuscript.
Self-Archiving and Repository Deposit

Authors are encouraged to deposit accepted manuscripts or published articles in institutional or subject-specific repositories according to licensing terms.

Deposits should include citation and a link to the final published version on the JSSHRS website.

Early sharing of preprints is permitted but does not replace final open access publication.
