Publication Process

The Journal of Social Science and Human Research Studies (JSSHRS) is committed to a robust, transparent, and efficient publication process that ensures scholarly integrity and timely dissemination of research in the social sciences and humanities.

Step 1: Manuscript Submission

Authors prepare manuscripts following the JSSHRS Author Guidelines and submit them through the online portal or via email (editor@ep-journals.org). Each submission is acknowledged, and a unique reference number is assigned for all correspondence.

Step 2: Initial Editorial Screening

The editorial office reviews the manuscript for:

  • Relevance to the journal’s aims and scope.

  • Adherence to formatting and ethical requirements.

  • Originality, using plagiarism detection software.

Submissions that do not meet these criteria are returned to authors for correction or declined with feedback.

Step 3: Double-Blind Peer Review

Manuscripts passing the initial screening undergo double-blind peer review:

  • Authors’ and reviewers’ identities are concealed.

  • At least two independent experts with subject expertise evaluate each manuscript.

  • Reviewers assess originality, scholarly quality, methodological rigor, clarity, and ethical compliance.

  • Recommendations may be: accept, revise (minor/major), or reject.

Step 4: Editorial Decision

The editorial team considers reviewer reports and makes a decision:

  • Acceptance: Manuscripts that fulfill all criteria proceed to production.

  • Revision: Authors receive detailed, constructive feedback with a deadline for submitting a revised manuscript and a response letter.

  • Rejection: Authors are promptly informed, with reasons and suggestions for improvement.

Conflicting reviews may be resolved by consulting an additional expert reviewer.

Step 5: Revision and Further Review

Authors submit revised manuscripts addressing all comments. Substantial revisions may be re-evaluated by reviewers or editorial board members to ensure concerns are fully addressed before proceeding.

Step 6: Copyediting and Proofing

Accepted manuscripts undergo professional copyediting and formatting. Authors are provided page proofs for final review and approval prior to publication.

Step 7: Online Publication

Upon final approval:

  • The article is published online in the next available issue and instantly made open access for global visibility.

  • Metadata is indexed for discoverability in scholarly databases.
