Submission Preparation Checklist

Before submitting your manuscript to the Journal of Social Science and Human Research Studies (JSSHRS), please ensure it meets all the requirements listed below. Completing this checklist will help avoid delays and ensure a smooth peer review and publication process.

Manuscript Requirements

  •  Originality: The manuscript is original, has not been published previously, and is not under consideration elsewhere.

  •  Scope Fit: The content fits within the journal’s aims and scope in the social sciences and humanities.

  •  File Format: The file is prepared in MS Word (.doc/.docx). PDF may be provided for review reference if necessary.

  •  Language Quality: The manuscript is written in clear, professional English with proper grammar, spelling, and academic style.

  •  Title Page: Includes a concise and informative title (max 15 words), full names of all authors, institutional affiliations, country, and details of the corresponding author.

  •  Abstract and Keywords: Includes a structured abstract (up to 250 words) and 4–8 relevant keywords.

  •  Manuscript Structure: Follows the prescribed format — Introduction, Literature Review, Materials/Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgments (if applicable), and References.

  •  References: Accurately cited and formatted consistently (APA, Harvard, or MLA). At least 80% should be from reputable and recent sources.

  •  Tables and Figures: Numbered sequentially, embedded appropriately in the text with clear captions and legends. High-quality versions are provided separately if required.

  •  Ethical Compliance: Includes statements on ethics approval (if applicable), informed consent, conflict of interest, funding disclosure, and data availability.

  •  Plagiarism Check: The similarity index does not exceed the journal’s threshold (usually ≤15%), and plagiarism (including self-plagiarism) has been checked prior to submission.

Authorship and Contributions

  •  All listed authors meet the journal’s authorship criteria (substantial intellectual contribution, manuscript review, approval, and accountability for the work).

  •  The order of authors reflects their actual contributions.

  •  An Author Contribution Statement is provided in the manuscript.

  •  All authors have approved the final version for submission.

Supporting Documentation

  •  Cover Letter: Addresses the manuscript’s originality, significance, and confirmation that it is not under review elsewhere.

  •  Supplementary Files: All supplementary materials (datasets, appendices, additional figures, multimedia) are provided in separate, well-labeled files if applicable.

  •  Permissions: Evidence of permission for use of any previously published content (images, figures, or tables) is included.

Submission Details

  •  Metadata (title, abstract, keywords, author details) entered accurately in the submission system.

  •  For special issue submissions, the relevant issue/theme is indicated in the cover letter and submission form.
